Forest Holme Hospice is Broadview’s charity of 2018
Broadview Shading Solutions have chosen Forest Holme Hospice as their official charity of 2018.
Forest Holme Hospice apart of Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is a specialist care unit that offers a tranquil setting for the care of patients and their families. The care they provide for patients is individually tailored to each person and their specific needs, to meet all physical and psychological care they need. Forest Holme Hospice gives patients a stress-free environment, where they can receive 24/7 attention by multiple qualified nurses and doctors. Opened in January 1995, Forest Holme Hospice has given 23 years of peace to a variety of patients with advanced cancer and other life-threatening illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, other neurological conditions, heart failure, renal failure and respiratory illness.
Broadview who specialise in interior, exterior and vehicle shading in Poole and Dorset, recently visited a former colleague who had spent some time in the hospice and received the right specialised care and support for their illness. Having close ties with Forest Holme Hospice it was an easy decision for our team to choose them as our charity of the year.
The team will be raising vital funds and awareness of the work that Forest Holme does in the local areas of Poole, Wimborne and the Purbecks throughout 2018 and Broadview’s Director Mark Pratt is thrilled to be able to help the charity. “Our staff are a charitable bunch that are always up for a challenge so I’m sure that as well as helping raise funds, we’ll have some fun along the way.” To raise as much money as we can for Forest Holme Hospice Broadview has formed a new internal charity committee, they will be in charge of planning fundraising activities and events that will include dress down sales, bake sales and sporting challenges throughout the year.
The Fundraising and Communications Manager at Forest Holme Hospice Charity, Hannah Parsons, is happily welcoming Broadview on board, “Hearing that Broadview was keen to support us this year was fantastic news. Without the generous backing of local companies, our fundraising would be so much harder. We already have some really exciting events planned for 2018, which I’m confident Broadview will support with enthusiasm!”
