With spectacular views of Poole Harbour, our client contacted us to find a shading solution to make the most of the spectacular scenery.

The Brief

Our client wanted a simple shading solution for their garden to create a useable outdoor space from which to take in the spectacular view of Poole Harbour afforded from the back of their property. It was important to provide a solution that enhanced the view but didn't block or detract from it in any way.

As the property is located on a hill, it was also important to ensure that the new awning installation would be able to withstand the strong winds that come with an elevated position.

The Solution

To make the most of client’s patio without compromising on the stunning view, our experts decided on the Brustor 6m x 3m B35 Awning over a pergola. This practical awning was chosen because it provides a high-quality extension to the client’s outdoor living space without the need for poles or columns, which would have interrupted the view.

Instead of visible structural support, the awning is simply attached to the wall of the property using an anthracite grey cassette and can be extended or retracted quickly and easily depending on the client’s shading preferences (or the unpredictable British weather). The B35 awning was also selected because of its heavy-duty profiled arms and extreme resistance to wind, perfect for the client’s elevated position.
