B200XL Coupled Pergola Installation in Basingstoke
A homeowner in Basingstoke reached out to Broadview looking to transform the patio in his stunning back garden with far-reaching views of the nearby countryside. He was looking for a bespoke pergola that would provide cover for his seating area and hot tub, creating a beautiful and practical outdoor living space he could enjoy year-round.

Designing the Pergola
After exploring our various pergola models, the homeowner decided on the sturdy aluminium Brustor B200XL. This model has adjustable louvres that can be opened or closed with a remote control, allowing users to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air or create a cosy, sheltered space.
1. Size
Once we'd measured the patio and talked to the homeowner about his needs, we designed and built a 10 m x 4.5 m pergola in a 'coupled' style. The size was perfect to accommodate the hot tub and seating area, with enough space for easy movement around it. We also made sure the pergola's height aligned with the rooftop for a neat, matching look.
2. Aesthetics
The pergola was designed with a sleek, understated colour scheme featuring a dark grey frame (RAL 7015) and white louvres. The frame was selected to match the existing grey window and door frames of the house for a cohesive look, while the white louvres added a stylish contrast for a touch of visual flair.
3. Optional Upgrades
Wanting to make the most of his pergola, the homeowner opted for some extra features to create a space he could enjoy all year round, day or night. He decided to incorporate:
- Six warm white, dimmable LED lights built into the louvres to cast a soft glow at night, and customisable, dimmable LED strips in the perimeter that can be set to a variety of vibrant RGB colours.
- Four retractable, motorised side screens that create a fully enclosed, private space when lowered.
- Four 2.2 kW Brustor infrared heaters that provide warmth and comfort on cold nights and throughout winter.
The End Result
