B600S Pergola Installation in Barton-on-Sea
The Brief
With a sweeping lawn and brand new sunny patio area leading off the back of his property, our client came to us with the idea of creating a beautiful shaded area where he could host friends and family. After a consultation with Broadview’s expert team, he decided on the B600S pergola.
There are two pergolas in the B600 range, with the B600S being the superior model. The client opted for the upgrade for two reasons. One: the integrated screen system makes for a sleeker appearance. Two: the S shaped louvre stacks far more compactly, allowing optimal sunlight exposure when open.
The client opted for a free standing structure, and wanted it to be large enough to cover an eight seater table with space left over for reclining chairs, so Broadview recommended a 6m x 4m structure.
Installation Details
Broadview’s pergola frames are available in two colours – White and Anthracite Grey. Our client decided on an Anthracite Grey frame, but wanted to contrast it with white louvres and four white integrated screens. With screens on all four sides, the client would have maximum privacy when hosting, and shelter from the wind on breezier days.
The louvred system is the highest specification. Fully automated, the roof fully retracts for maximum sun exposure, while the louvres themselves rotate to allow the client to adjust the sun exposure when closed.
The client wanted to be able to use their pergola all year round, so they opted to install two infra-red heaters in an Anthracite Grey colour to match the frame. They also opted for LED lighting, which would create a cosy ambiance perfect for an evening in the garden.
