Located just minutes away from Poole Harbour, this client’s stunning property featured a tiled garden with plenty of open room. Looking to expand their living space with a peaceful, relaxing outdoor area, the client tasked the team at Broadview with installing a fully fitted-out B600S pergola onto the back of their house.

Installation Details

So the pergola would fit seamlessly onto the client’s home, we measured and designed it to be 6m x 3.4m in dimensions.

We began by installing a raised decking area and staircase onto the back of the house. The decking had storage integrated within its build, so the client could keep their garden equipment safe and out of sight when not in use.

Next, we installed the pergola on top of the decking. The client chose a white frame and louvred roof to blend in with their existing home design.

The B600S is one of our most advanced pergolas, combining a gorgeously minimalist aesthetic with unrivalled functionality. It features a rotating and retracting louvred roof that can be controlled with the flick of a switch, giving you total control over the amount of sunlight let through. Even better, enhanced drainage technology eliminates the risk of water pooling or flooding when it rains.

In addition to the pergola structure, the client chose to add several enhancements to maximise its functionality. These were:

• Sliding and frameless glass walls to protect against wind and rain while giving the pergola an ultra-modern aesthetic.
• Three motorised and integrated roller screens that could be unfurled for extra protection against the sun’s glare and also give the option of privacy.
• LED lights integrated into the louvre, so the client could continue to spend time in their garden even at dusk and at night.
• Two 3.4kw glass front infra-red heaters with a dimmable setting and operated from the pergola remote to keep the pergola warm and cosy on cold winter nights.

The end result was a stunning, multi-functional outdoor space that the family can enjoy all year round.
