Louvred Roof Installation in Mauritius

When Broadview Shading Solutions were asked to design and install Outdoor Louvred Roof Solutions to a luxury Mauritius waterside property we were very excited indeed.

The Location

Mauritius being an island in the Indian Ocean and in the Southern Hemisphere represented a challenge in itself logistically and operationally. With a tropical climate bringing strong UV sunshine, hot temperatures and rainfall the client wished for the flexibility of open and closed shading with the inclusion of privacy when required to both first floor balconies. It was important not to interrupt the views across the bay of this beautiful location and to enhance the marine style feel of the residence.

The Brief

After consultations with the client and a full understanding of the requirements Broadview’s expert Shading design team specified two B200XL louvred roof systems for both the upper floor balconies totally an area of over 42 square metres. The client also specified remote controlled LED lighting integrated into the roof for evening use with an integrated electric roller screen on the RH elevation for privacy.

The Solution

The client instructed Broadview’s sales team to carry out the installation and handle the project as smoothly as possible. Broadview operations team manufactured and packaged both systems into one large shipping crate inspecting every element ensuring a right first time approach. All the items were included for the project including the tooling for the installation team. In just 6 weeks from leaving the UK the crate was unloaded and on location and arrived a few days earlier than expected due to good shipping conditions at sea.

A Broadview Outdoor Installation 3 man team flew to the location and in just 4 days both the systems had been installed and fully commissioned.
