Fixed Roof Pergolas
Permanent Shelter for Your Garden, Patio or Outdoor Space
A fixed roof pergola provides a permanent, weather-protected outdoor space that you can enjoy whatever the weather.
Unlike retractable fabric or adjustable louvred roofs, a fixed roof remains in place all year round, providing consistent shelter for outdoor dining, entertaining, relaxation, storage and more.
With a strong aluminium structure and contemporary design, a fixed roof pergola can become a stylish extension of your home while providing practical protection from rain and the elements.
At Broadview, we supply and install high-quality fixed roof pergolas designed around your property and lifestyle.
What is a Fixed Roof Pergola?
A fixed roof pergola is a permanent outdoor structure with a non-retractable roof.
The roof provides continuous shelter, making it ideal when your priority is creating a space that remains protected rather than having the flexibility to open the roof. Fixed roof pergolas can be installed against your home or used as freestanding structures elsewhere in the garden, depending on the system and available space.
Why Choose a Fixed Roof Pergola?
- Permanent weather protection: A fixed roof provides consistent shelter from rain and other weather conditions.
- A genuine outdoor room: Add heating, lighting, screens and glazing to create a comfortable outdoor space that can be used throughout the year.
- Low maintenance: Aluminium structures require considerably less ongoing maintenance than traditional timber pergolas.
- Versatile design: A fixed roof pergola can be used for dining, entertaining, relaxation, storage or as a covered area beside a pool.
- Contemporary appearance: Clean lines and modern aluminium construction create an attractive architectural feature for your home and garden.
Fixed Roof or Glass Roof Pergola?
Both provide permanent shelter, but they offer different benefits.
A fixed roof pergola provides greater protection from direct sunlight and creates a more consistently shaded environment, whilst a glass roof pergola allows significantly more natural light through, making it particularly suitable where maintaining daylight is important.
Think about what you want from the space. If maximum shade and shelter are your priorities, a fixed roof may be the best option. If you want a bright, light-filled outdoor space, a glass roof could be more suitable.
Fixed Roof Pergolas for More Than Just Patios
A fixed roof pergola can have many uses beyond creating a covered seating area:
- Outdoor dining: Create a dedicated dining area where you can entertain without having to worry about sudden rain showers.
- Outdoor kitchens: Protect cooking equipment and create a practical space for preparing and enjoying food outdoors.
- Garden storage: Use the sheltered area to protect garden furniture, bicycles and other equipment.
- Poolside shelter: Create a comfortable covered area beside a swimming pool.
- Covered entrances: A fixed roof structure can also provide useful shelter outside entrances and other areas of the property.
- Carport: Offers long-lasting protection for your vehicles while adding a stylish element to your home.
Aluminium Fixed Roof Pergolas
Aluminium is particularly well suited to modern fixed roof pergolas. It provides a strong structural material while offering a clean, contemporary appearance. Unlike timber, aluminium does not rot and does not require regular painting, staining or varnishing to maintain its appearance. A powder-coated finish also provides a durable surface that can complement the colours and architecture of your home.
Brustor Fixed Roof Pergolas
The Brustor B910 is a fixed roof pergola designed to provide a permanently sheltered outdoor space. The system uses a durable aluminium structure with high-quality sandwich roof panels and can be installed either attached to a property or freestanding. The design can also be enhanced with options such as ZIP screens, sliding glass walls, LED lighting and patio heating.
Make Your Fixed Roof Pergola Your Own
A fixed roof doesn't mean your outdoor space has to feel enclosed or inflexible. We offer various customisable extras to create a genuinely usable space throughout much more of the year:
- Add integrated LED lighting to create an inviting evening environment.
- Install infrared heating to make cooler days and evenings more comfortable.
- Choose ZIP screens to provide additional protection from wind, low sunlight and privacy concerns.
- Sliding glass walls can create a more enclosed outdoor room while maintaining views of your garden.
How Much Does a Fixed Roof Pergola Cost?
The cost of a fixed roof pergola depends on its dimensions, roof specification, configuration, installation requirements and optional extras. Because every installation is different, we can provide bespoke quotations based on your property and requirements.
